Of course I always was a fan of fireflies. Who isn’t? But when we moved to our current home and studio, I had a big surprise in store. Since it is located in a wetland area, there are many dragonflies. Tiny ones with brilliant red bodies and big ones with black bodies and white wings. I have always been very taken with these. So I have made them in many sizes and variations and I often include them in larger pieces.
